Global Green Solutions Inc. and its joint venture partner, Valcent Products Inc. released data from initial testing of their Vertigro algae production system. Results indicate a potential yield of 276 tons of algae biomass per acre per year. Achieving the same biomass production rate with algae species having 50% lipids (oil) content would deliver approximately 33,000 gallons of algae oil per acre per year. Tests were conducted at the Vertigro facility in El Paso, Texas. The company intends to further optimize the technology and demonstrate economic algae production for biodiesel feedstock purposes.

Valcent Products Inc. announced that the Vertigro Joint Venture has released initial test results from its high density bio mass field test bed plant located at its research and development facility in El Paso. During a 90 day continual production test, algae was being harvested at an average of one gram (dry weight) per liter. This equates to algae bio mass production of 276 tons of algae per acre per year. Achieving the same biomass production rate with an algal species having 50% lipids (oil) content would therefore deliver approximately 33,000 gallons of algae oil per acre per year. The next phase of development will include increasing the number of bio reactor units from 30 to 100 and then continuing a number of production tests that may further increase production as well as initiating various extraction tests.

Valcent Products Inc. (OTCBB: VCTP.F) announced a non-brokered private placement of 5,907,726 units at $0.60 per unit for gross proceeds of $3,544,636 on December 11, 2007. Each unit consists of one common share and one-half of one share purchase warrant. Each whole warrant entitles the holder to purchase one common share at $0.75 per share for a period of 24 months. The company may pay finders´ fees in connection with the private placement.
